With the merger of the parishes, the Saint Patrick Altar and Rosary Fellowship and the Family Service League of Saint Mary of the Visitation have combined to form the St. Joseph Society.
This organization aims to help foster the faith of all parishioners through prayer, service, and community. Activities of the St. Joseph Society include:
· Prayers such as the rosary and prayers for those who are in need,
· Serving at funeral dinners,
· Assisting with parish gatherings such as Coffee and Donuts, receptions, etc.,
· Paying for the votive and altar candles and hosts used at Masses,
· Supporting teachers and students at Seton Catholic School,
· Contributing to worthy causes such as scholarship funds, parish fundraisers, the Heartland Pregnancy Center, etc.
· And much, much more!
The officers are: Connie Ryan and Kathy Wilson – Co-Presidents
Pam Ward – Secretary
Cindy Smith – Treasurer
Meetings are held every third Thursday of the month. While the stairlift is being repaired in the St. Patrick site, meetings will be in St. Mary.
When hosted in St. Mary, it begins at 12:15pm with a potluck, followed by a business meeting.
When hosted in St. Patrick, it begins at 12:30pm with a rosary, followed by a business meeting and refreshments.
The first meeting of the St. Joseph Society is on October 16, 2025. It will be held in the social hall of St. Mary of the Visitation church beginning with a potluck at 12:15pm.
